The summer box office is off to a hot start as weekend ticket sales top $160 million

#KEY POINTS:

🔵The domestic box office generated $161.2 million over the weekend, a nearly 88% jump from the same period in 2025.

🔵So far, ticket sales for the year have totaled $3.02 billion, a 16% jump from last year.

🔵Still to come is a slew of blockbuster titles including: "Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu," "Toy Story 5," "Supergirl," "Moana," "The Odyssey" and "Spider-Man: Brand New Day."
