Minions is coming out next week and that’ll further bury supergirl
Oh man, industry projections for Supergirl continue to decrease with each week.
Wasn‘t this compared to Thunderbolts* (74M) at first? Now, it‘ll be lucky if it beats The Marvels (46M), which itself had a horrible opening and couldn‘t even pass 100M domestic.
What a disaster for Supergirl, definitely not reaching 250M total. Even 200M could be a struggle depending on the international numbers, given that this will skew domestic like with Superman
Wow, that would be a great hold for Toy Story 5, and both Deadline and Variety are expecting above $80m.

thats a big setback for krypto. hope he has a contract locked in for atleast a couple more movies with DC.

Supergirl can be appealing to a primary male demographic such as the New moe version of her. So idk what they fumbled here for her character. The party girl vibe she had in her cameo should have been its own type of film. If they had a romance the movie could’ve broaden it’s appeal.

Looking bleak for *Supergirl*. If it opens below $50 million it will make the similarly budgeted *Mandalorian and Grogu* $98 million opening weekend ($82 million 3-day if we remove the Memorial Day advantage) look like a modest failure in comparison.

Who could have imagined that releasing a Supergirl movie as the second film in a new shared universe wouldn’t be a good idea?
Spot checking Supergirl sales at theaters around me and they are just bad. I’m thinking under 40m opening weekend.
My wife absolutely loved Superman last year but she’s not interested at all in this movie. I don’t know why

DC/WB really screwed over Supergirl for no reason whatsoever, dumping it between Toy Story and Minions with Spider-Man coming in to lock everything down.

If Toy story 5 could open within projection of $80-90m dollar it would 3rd best 2nd weekend for any animated movie only behind IO2’s monstrous $101m and insane $96m dollar of super mario bros.
Just have to hope that studios learn a lesson or two from Supergirl..
