That is a common deadline lowball for obession no way the 5.5m Tuesday will result in a $13mil 3rd weekend (that’ll probably be the combined total of sat+friday in that weeekend)

Another weekend over its opening for Obsession is very well possible with the rate it’s going. Horror and young directors (who are also YouTubers in their twenties) are winning.
I think Mando and Obsession are gonna be fighting for #2.
Low prediction for The Backrooms.
A ~52% drop for Mandalorian is better than I expected. But I would expect Backrooms to go a little higher.

Backrooms will open with 50M-60M, perhaps even higher!
Obsession will also have a better weekend than that.

I will be pretty surprised if Mando drops just ~50% from the 3-day. I would expect something more like $32-35M for it. But if it does do $40M somehow, that’s a surprisingly good drop.

On what planet is Obsession dropping from 24 mil to 13 mil when higher 2nd week dailies than 1st week ones?
I don’t think The Mandalorian And Grogu does $40M which feels like $30M or less that’s doing less then Solo A Star Wars had $29.3M on its 2nd weekend with a 65% drop

Deadline with shit predictions. Obsession isn’t dropping to 13m off these weekday numbers. Backrooms sales are throughout the weekend. Mando prediction is shit. Mando is dropping like Solo and I wouldn’t be surprised by an under 30m number.

I’m sure Backrooms is going to be profitable pretty quickly but I can’t help but think the higher the opening weekend the steeper the fall will be in the second.
Very good likelihood of Mandalorian coming in 2nd place this week, that said a $40M 2nd weekend would be a great improvement over Solo only doing $29.4M 2nd weekend. personally I would expect something more in the $35M range for Mandalorian next weekend. A 55%-60% drop, similar 2nd weekend to Thunderbolts, and in general a bigger drop due to it not being a holiday weekend
