    Michael Bay’s Pearl Harbor was released 25 years ago this week. Despite negative reviews, the $140M film was a financial success, grossing $198M domestically and $449.2M worldwide. It received four Oscar nominations and won Best Sound Editing, but it also received six Razzie nominations.


    In addition, here are the film’s Oscar nominations. Fun fact: this is still the only Michael Bay movie to win an Oscar.

      Oh, jeez. As much as thought Pearl Harbor attack scene was done pretty well (despite inaccuracies, of course), I felt like it took years to get to that point. To say that the build-up to such scene was not done well would be a colossal understatement.

      The core concept of “Titanic but make it Pearl Harbor” is soap bad shit, crazy that it could have worked if someone other than Michael Bay made it

      I’ve remembered seeing the Michael Bay trying to become the next Titanic that James Cameron has made by making Pearl Harbor although the film was terrible since it came out nearly 60 years after the attack on pearl harbor that causes the US to join the war
