I expect similar legs to Solo. People seem apathetic which sometimes is even worse than controversial.

Big tentpoles to get A- CinemaScore this year:

      The Super Mario Galaxy Movie

      Michael

      The Devil Wears Prada 2

      The Mandolorian and Grogu

    4. Yeah this is really looking to be Solo 2.0. Difference is in 2018 that put the entire franchise into panic mode. Now it’s just eh, could’ve been worse.

On par with Solo, it’s boosted due to fans of Star Wars watching it.

Just saw it with my kids and we all hated it.

Not bad at all, pretty decent actually, but doesn’t necessarily mean that legs will be good though.

This feels like one of those “general audiences love but the internet is out of touch” movies, especially if it plays more like a family film with a good cinemascore. We’ll see how the drops next weekend are though

Am I tripping or have cinemascores been a notch lower than expected across the board this year?

They don’t seem to translate to breakout WOM as well.

Especially with fan heavy films like Michael and this.

Funny how not that long ago. people were saying it was gonna get a b or b minus.

    10. Key-Broccoli370 on

I think it barely squeaked by the B+ unlike say Michael and sheep detectives if we’re going by the verified rt score but family’s clearly liked it because I think it would of gotten a B+ if they didn’t

I think it’ll be difficult for this movie to attract casual audiences or families. I honestly think Solo: A Star Wars Story’s box office is probably its upper ceiling. And that’s being optimistic.

    12. The hate boner in this thread is outrageous. Movie is fun and deserving of the score. Hope it does well.

Just came here to read the discussions and arguments

Nice. I wasn’t going to see this movie until it hit Disney plus, but an A- grade makes me willing to see it in the upcoming week
