    Johnny Depp-Starring ‘Day Drinker’ Gets Release Date From Lionsgate – March 26th 2027

      – Lionsgate has set a March 26, 2027 release date for supernatural revenge thriller Day Drinker starring Johnny Depp – the spot originally set for the first installment of The Resurrection Of The Christ, which the studio is moving to May.

      – The film, also starring Madelyn Cline and Penélope Cruz, is directed by Marc Webb, written by Zach Dean, and produced by Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee, who produce the John Wick franchise for Lionsgate, along with Adam Kolbrenner, Zach Dean and Nathan Kahane.

      – Logline: A private-yacht bartender (Cline) encounters a mysterious onboard guest (Depp). They soon find themselves entangled with a criminal figure (Cruz) and connected in ways no one saw coming.

      It is only a matter of time until Disney does another Pirates of The Caribbean film with Johnny Depp.

      That franchise consists of five films and all five did great in global grosses:

      1. Pirates of The Caribbean (2003) – 654M
      2. Pirates of The Caribbean II (2006) – 1.06B
      3. Pirates of The Caribbean III (2007) – 961M
      4. Pirates of The Caribbean IV (2011) – 1.04B
      5. Pirates of The Caribbean V (2017) – 796M

      A 6th entry could easily make 1B+ thanks to the nostalgia and inflation factor. A Memorial Day or Christmas release date would work great.

      This must be the sequel to his 2011 film “The Rum Diary” which is also a great film.
