      Given the reviews, I suspect the second week will completely collapse and won’t even reach Solo’s numbers. It will be comfortably awaited in streaming

      As a fan of the saga, I’m afraid for Star Wars. I miss the sequels…

      Holy cow. $80M over 4 days? That’d be $23M lower than Solo, which was considered a disaster.

      Solo: A Star Wars Story opened with 103 million 4-Day back in 2018 and finished with 213.7 million. Let’s see if this’ll be able to match or top either.

      Didn’t BOT have this tracking, at best, around $90 million for the four day? That still wasn’t going to be enough but damn

      This is another Star Wars bomb in the making. This movie will tank so hard overseas.

      I am convinced that even if this film does really well people will still be upset about it.

      I don’t know of any other IP besides this and Superhero genre that is more hated even when doing well

      This just feels like it came out too late.

      Even with the mixed reviews; if it came out when the show was consistently putting out seasons, it likely would’ve faired better at the box office.

      Would probably debut similar to *Brave New World* numbers.

      With a lackluster run ending anywhere *$400M-500M* worldwide.

      0 advertising from the studios, 0 anticipation from the audience – neither side needed or wanted that movie.

      Not bad for a movie with no hype, no buzz, anemic marketing and just looks like an episode from a series on Disney plus that quite a few people haven’t watched. What Disney has done to the Star Wars brand in such a short amount of time really needs to be studied

      They might actually be at a point where they have to retcon the sequels to fix this franchise, or go to a completely new timeline.

      There is just way too much disdain for current Star Wars for anything to succeed.
