Down 10% from Saturday is astounding for any movie – wowza!
Even a leggy hit like Sinners was down 25%. Weapons was down 19%. (Michael = 22%. Project Hail Mary = 24%.) Legs look like they should be sensational
I expect bright futures ahead for Inde Navarrette & Curry Barker. Inde’s performance in Obsession is literally the definition of a star-making performance

The very strong hold I think is fuel for my theory that capacity was partially a problem for the film this weekend. It simply didn’t have the capacity needed it order to hit 20+ but it could have. I expect a very very strong Monday hold tomorrow. It’s targeting adults and it’s summer break for a ton of colleges so potentially 45% drop or even better. Let’s fucking go.

Box office aside – one of the best horror movies I’ve seen in a while. The shallow depth of field almost entirely throughout either works for you or it doesn’t but man, what a fucked up ride this was

Inde Navarrette was amazing. every moment she wasn’t on screen I was trying to find her in the background
I hope whoever used the one wish willow and wished for this movie to thrive at the box office is safe right now
Insanely low budget for this too. Feels like Paranormal Activity all levels of success all over again.
