But….. R rated horror movies don’t make money at the box office.

the summer season is like 3 weeks old… odd headline.
yeah it’s really good. has a great dark sense of humor. not like over the top comedy but in the dialogue and how the characters relate to each other. it’s got a great cast. when it hits the horror it hits it hard. the story you’ve seen before but very well done. made for a million or less and opening at 23… nice. and it’s wide open for followup using the same device.

It’s weird, I love horror movies, but the modern ones everyone seems to like I end up not liking. I’ve honestly been disappointed by all modern, successful horror movies. Weapons, Longlegs, Get Out, Conjuring. All these horror movies were hyped up and successful, but I came out disappointed. For some reason they just don’t hit with me like everyone else. So I’m going in skeptical.

Well deserved to be a hit. I think Passenger will do decent and make small profit, and Backrooms will be a massive breakout hit. And Pressure could make Nuremberg numbers too

Recently got out of a second viewing. It was so much fun seeing the reactions of audience members who had no idea what they were in for. Every single scare and laugh sticks the landing, especially the one involving the corner of a room and the other involving the brick.
