The international numbers are just magical.
Meryl Streep can do anything

what’s the likeliest this finishes with?
Half a billion? On a $100M budget? With a potential $700M finish?
Groundbreaking.
What do we think guys, will it pass $700M worldwide? I’m getting confident.
WOW. That is amazing.
1. wknd: 233M
2. wknd: 433M
3. wknd: 546M
600M+ coming next weekend already.
It should finish with 700M+, let’s see.
The last few months have really cemented the fact that book adaptations are absolute cash cows. From The Housemaid, Wuthering Heights, Project Hail Mary, to The Devil Wears Prada 2, and the imminent release of Verity which already feels like it’s shaping up to be another massive hit.

I thought it would be at half a billion worldwide but that is even higher.
$680M final?
Women do go to the movie. Hollywood just need to make more projects that actually appeal to women
I mention in another thread that book adaptations is another way to get women to the movie. So if Hollywood wants to make more blockbusters for female audiences, then they can just adapt any popular fantasy books by female authors. The publishing industry is flooded with books like that right now, for a very longtime actually
Great numbers. The original Devil’s Wears Prada is a popular stone cold classic so I’m not surprised. This was never a Blade Runner situation where it’s just a niche cult classic and the audience is not nearly as large as internet pretends that it is so giving it a big budget is asking to lose money no matter how good the movie is. The original was a real well-liked hit.
