Box Office Theory forums seem to be in a bit of a panic over last 24 hours (after super-enthusiasm during the preceding 72 hours — I’m not really clear on how valuable that place is)
This may, in fact, be the way.
Can an internet poll be used to predict box office? Because tracking data seems much more reliable to me. Obviously, this type of movie concentrates most of its presales at the beginning.
Remember that it wasn’t in Fandango’s top 10 most anticipated films of the summer?
While many believed this ranking was valid, Fandango’s rankings have repeatedly proven inaccurate in past years.
