Even power rangers doesn’t do amazing in theaters and it’s a much bigger property. I think Henry can still do an amazing cult following movie with this but yeah I think it’s the right call

The best part of Prime Video compared to other streamers has been that you have it as part of having Amazon Prime and didn’t actually have to sign up for another streaming service. They’re increasingly using MGM+ to get around that, which is annoying. Hopefully this just goes to Prime.

    3. I mean Henry Cavill is not a box office draw, any of these live action old cartoons seems like draw either, it suck that it make s sense to be direct to streaming

Amazon has been very theater-forward, so they must not have much faith in this.

A property with zero successes since the 80s + an actor with limited star power was done in a similar manner by Prime Video before.  Namely Roadhouse, which skipped theaters and was a massive hit on Prime Video.   I think they’re hoping for something similar here.

I already knew this from a year ago. I guess they’ll go for the Emmys if Voltron surprises on Prime Video.

I remember reasing a list not that ago that said Adam Sandler and mark mark whalberg were like the biggest paid movie stars for 2025 and I can’t even remember them either of them being in any real box office hits. I just know it’s cause Adam Sandler did happy Gilmore 2 and mark whalberg a bunch of streaming service only movies
