Twister opened thirty years ago this week. The disaster movie starring Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton grossed $499M on a $88-92M budget. A sequel, Twisters was released in 2024 and a ride based on the attraction operated at Universal Studios Florida from 1998 to 2015.

Yeah, I do recall this film, though I haven’t seen it yet. And based on what I’ve heard, its sequel is a decent improvement over this,
I fuckin love this movie
I miss the ride at Universal. Jimmy Fallon one is horrible.
The cow movie teaser was the hottest shit ever.
Fun disaster movie and summer blockbuster.
One of the greatest disaster movies ever made. And certainly the most fun – only its sequel comes anywhere close to replicating that magic.
So happy I got to see Twister opening weekend in the theater, and then again at a drive in. One of the best theater experiences I’ve ever had. It’s up there with seeing ID4 opening night.

The SUCK ZONE
Helen Hunt was so hot in this movie.
Great movie. Fun ride. I even enjoyed the sequel
The new Twister movie was fun but it lacked the intensity and visceral action of this one.
