Spiral: From the Book of Saw was released 5 years ago this week. A spin-off of the Saw series, the $20 million film received mixed reviews and disappointed at the box office, grossing $23.2 million domestically and $40.6 million worldwide, making it the lowest-grossing installment in the franchise.

I was never bored by this, but this felt like a movie meant for streaming and I truly can’t take Chris Rock seriously here.
I really liked it. Traps could have been cooler but not bad.
So you’re telling there’s only a 2-year window between this movie and Saw X? That the time between Saw X to now is bigger?
Why the hell does it feel like this one came out, like, last decade and Saw X isn’t about to be 3-years old…?
That “return to form” advertising really made me group this one closer to the time the OG sequels came out.
