Why are we comparing these movies specifically and not the broader portfolio of net-new IP action-adventure movies? There isn’t a notable demographic that only goes to see “hard SF set in space” and no other movies
Haven’t been following box office for too long. What’s the context for those late bumps Martian and Gravity got? Is it just that they released late in some countries?
