Crazy hold. Was hoping for an under 30% drop. I think 100m more at the domestic box office is locked. I can see it going higher with only one big blockbuster film releasing in the next 3 weeks.
Even, if something like Backrooms breaks out there’s a lot of other films to take screens away from….Animal Farm, Mario, Mortal Kombat etc
Look out for a potential $37M+ finish once actuals come in tomorrow after Mother’s Day moonwalk-ups conclude this evening. This and MKII might be like just a milly apart in the end.
Hopefully it gets plf screens back like Project Hail Mary had towards the middle of its run
Don’t be shocked if the actuals are higher once again.
Dear Lionsgate: You don’t have 1 billion dollar movies. Make sure to release theatrical sing /dance alongs soon and put off the digital release until Japan run is over. Only this way you have a shot at 1 billion.

Prada 2 only doing a little more in its second weekend than Michael in its third. The power of MJ!
As a point of comparison, Project Hail Mary’s 3rd weekend was a 41% drop for a 31.7M 3rd weekend (it was Easter weekend and did 35M 4-day).
PHM looks like it will do another ~120M domestic after 3rd weekend—but it had exceptional late legs
Having said that, Michael looks like it will have a better 3rd weekend (more money and better hold) than PHM—I think 350-360M is very possible domestic at this point
I think it will be a million higher with actuals. They’re underestimating Mothers Day.
