What’s the international split expected to be on this? Curious because if it’s 50/50 DOM or more domestic than that it probably won’t break even.

When you look at how much WB’s COVID/HBO Max sequels opened with, this result feels somewhat unimpressive while still solid.

Dune: Part One ($41.0M) – Dune: Part Two ($82.5M): 101% increase

Godzilla vs. Kong ($31.6M) – Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire ($80.0M): 153.1% increase

The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It ($24.1M) – The Conjuring: Last Rites ($84.0M): 248% increase

      Mortal Kombat 2021 ($23.3M) – Mortal Kombat II (projected $37-38M): 63% increase

Why are people disappointed? I said it will make 38 million this week. That’s a good number for the low budget.

    5. thats a little disappointing given the big numbers that were thrown around earlier

It’s a video game sequel aimed at guys. Of course it’s front loaded. Some folks here thought this would have great walkups, which was strange.

    7. I feel like the five year gap here was not helpful. They shouldn’t put the 2 on the end, the sequel aspect seems to have been de-emphasized by the trailers, I don’t know why the title didn’t reflect that.
