If it does, Kane Parsons will become the youngest director (at just 20 years old) to open a movie at #1. Finally dethroning Josh Trank, who had *Chronicle* open at #1 when he was just 27 years old.

2026 is just a stream of hits, helps they’re making films people actually want to see

Backrooms, The Breadwinner and Scary Movie breaking out would be a real test for mid budget movies!
I’m guessing minimum 30 mill opening.
It’s going to be bigger than we think. Backrooms is very popular with Gen Z. I wouldn’t rule out this being A24’s biggest hit domestically.
