A movie about Minions making movies?

i know it’s not exactly a high bar to clear, but this has the potential to be the best minions movie yet. “fillmaking mogul minions unleashing lovecraft monsters on old hollywood” is a great pitch. it’s gonna make bank just like all the other despicable me movies, that much is certain

I know what to expect from these little guys after 16 years but the trailers seemed more funny and fun than usual. The monsters angle aside from being a merchandising gold mine is making this out to be very fun.

      >extra! extra! the minions are taking over Hollywood. See Minions & Monsters, only in theaters July 1.

      >Fresh off the worldwide blockbuster success of summer 2024’s funniest comedy, Despicable Me 4, Illumination expands its joyful animated universe with a riotous new chapter, featuring all-new characters, in the biggest global animated franchise in history: Minions & Monsters.

      >This is the rambunctious, ridiculous and totally true story of how the Minions conquered Hollywood, became movie stars, lost everything, unleashed monsters onto the world and then banded together to try and save the planet from the mayhem they had just created.

So, this follows a different group of minions that aren’t in the cave in the 1920s? ….What were they doing during WW2?

This is going to make bank. I wonder how the audience demographics are going to look for this. Minions 2 skewed slightly older due to the Gentleminions meme.

Yeah man this looks like alot of fun I don’t know what to tell you.

      $920M-940M WW, as usual.

Easy 900 million+ would be funny if it hit a billion before any other summer blockbuster

is it just me or does the animation look so much more detailed than Despicable Me 4?

For some reason I’ve become more sold on this movie after this trailer and people’s reaction to the footage shown at CinemaCon. This concept seems so ridiculous and they seem to be making the most of it.
