First time hearing about this movie.
I remember being excited for this once because the book was everything in my local libraries. The iconic cover! Then apparently it came out in a whisper and I never heard of anyone actually seeing it
I remember watching this in 5th Grade (2013) in the library near the end of the school year as it was a reward for us who had good behavior or something.
This was my introduction to Brie Larson, but I didn’t realize that she was the one who played the girl until years later when I saw this movie on her filmography.
What I remember the most about this movie though is how Clark Gregg was in this movie as the villain and 5th grade me was like “OMG it’s Agent Coulson!!”
Interesting how the three leads had very different career trajectories throughout the 2010s.
They replayed the crap out of this on the Family Channel
