Impressive performance. $300m is almost certain with this with an outside chance at $350m.

I’ll be completely honest with you: I would watch a double feature of Michael and Moonwalker

Critics couldn’t stop this movie from succeeding. Hail the king!

Phenomenal, WOW. That‘s only a -44% drop, despite The Devil Wears Prada 2!
300M+ domestic locked!
It‘ll be the third film this year to do so…
1. Super Mario Galaxy
2. Project Hail Mary
3. Michael

An L for critics. They just aren’t always trustworthy. We know they went easy on movies like Ghostbusters 2016 and The Marvels to “own the chuds”.

Michael is easily finishing as the third biggest Lionsgate film only behind those first two Hunger Games, ($408M and $424M respectively).

~44.44% drop from its 97.2 million opening weekend. Already at 1.9x legs. Yeah, this is definitely hitting 3x legs and 300 million.

They need to put the real Bad tour 88 performance in theaters and watch the money flow

It’s the moonwalk ups, maybe a little bit of Michael Keaton’s, too.

Audiences are enjoying it. The success of Bohemian Rhapsody, Elvis and now Michael show what people value in these biopics. Critics aren’t the enemy and shouldn’t give a damn about box office numbers when evaluating a film but if you are predicting the box office for these biopics about popular larger than life musicians don’t expect big box office if the films try to be overly artistic and run away from the hits.

Do you think it’ll share IMAX screens with Mortal Kombat II? Maybe like 1-2 shows a day?

Orgasmic!

Could be higher when actuals arrive tomorrow. Could topple PHM’s 2nd weekend as it’s only about $62K shy with this estimate. Y’all know how those (moon)walks-ups do.

Gee a movie about a top 3 arguably top 1 (undisputed #1 for me) worldwide music mega star who shifted modern pop culture of all time does well at the box office. Whodathunk?

I thought the predictions for this movie was so overblown. I didn’t think it would flop but I thought sales would be disappointing.
Wrong lmao

If it has the same Sunday drop as last week, this likely goes up to $56M. Not saying it’ll happen, but I would not be surprised if actuals end up higher
