Impressive performance. $300m is almost certain with this with an outside chance at $350m.

Michael is easily finishing as the third biggest Lionsgate film only behind those first two Hunger Games, ($408M and $424M respectively).

They need to put the real Bad tour 88 performance in theaters and watch the money flow

Audiences are enjoying it. The success of Bohemian Rhapsody, Elvis and now Michael show what people value in these biopics. Critics aren’t the enemy and shouldn’t give a damn about box office numbers when evaluating a film but if you are predicting the box office for these biopics about popular larger than life musicians don’t expect big box office if the films try to be overly artistic and run away from the hits.
Do you think it’ll share IMAX screens with Mortal Kombat II? Maybe like 1-2 shows a day?
