Per Deadline, ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ earned a 76% definite recommend score on PostTrak. The audience was 75% female, as well as 48% Caucasian, 28% Hispanic/Latino, 12% Black, and 7% Asian. 51% of the audience came for the cast, 43% for the actresses, and 42% because it’s a franchise they love.

75% women, *63% over 25*, and 48% caucasian. That’s the issue here with its apparent frontloading and CBM type performance. It only appeals to millennial white women. Granted it appeals to a massive chunk of them but still. Gonna repost what I said earlier about it not doing as well as many thought and why I kinda saw it coming:
The big issue with this film was that I saw TONS of hype among women…. millennial women. I saw less than zero hype among Gen Z and Alpha women and girls. Nobody my age was talking about this. They’re all mostly hyped for Moana and Spider-Man of all things. Moana especially. This film seems like it’s massive among one type of audience which is still good but not enough for 100m OW.
