This has got to be a new record. Can’t remember an animated movie with a rating this low.

Some notable animated movies with C+ or lower:

    – *Happily N’Ever After (2006):* C

    – *Rango (2011):* C+

Andy Serkis has directed four films and they aren’t great. He only has a single “fresh” movie (*Breathe*) and that’s with just a 67%.

Yeah, I have a lot of faith in *The Hunt for Gollum* next year.

Animation set a new record, lowest CinemaScore.

To show how fucking awful this is, The Emoji Movie scored a B, Norm of the North had a B-, and even Home on the Range managed to get an A-.

All of these are considered one of the worst films in animation, but they escaped the C level.

For an Angel Studios film let alone an animated family film this is an F

Between this score and Sheep Detectives next weekend, expect a massive, massive second weekend drop

This is the rare animated movie without any audience. The Animal Farm novel is a dark, adult story, but they made an adaptation targeted towards kids.

  5. haha that’s crazy. Now I’m going to end up watching this eventually just out of sheer curiosity.

Either the screenings were filled with people hate watching, or these are regular people who didn’t know anything about this movie, and it really is that bad.

Now comes the part where we throw our heads back and laugh

    HAHAHAHAHA

One of the worst grade rated for an animated film considering how bad the trailers were and even way below Rango with a C+ CinemaScore 15 years ago

  9. And now y’all are starting to see why Angel made the only viable offer for the film.

This really feels like a movie that pleases absolutely nobody.

Orwell fans object to the tone and the way that the third act is heavily rewritten.

Regular people seeing an animated movie object to how dark and purile it is.

Religious people who follow Angel studios releases are just angry in general about it.

It’s astounding that this was a passion project of Serkis for so many years, and he screwed it up so catastrophically.

Makes total sense why even Netflix didn’t want it.
