Would any of us even know this movie existed if we weren’t on this sub?

“tracking to be”, No, it already is one of the biggest flops.

First time hearing about it.
Looks fine. Has terrible reviews from critics lol. I like time pieces. I’ll watch it

Saudi Arabia’s business decisions always look weird from an outsider’s perspective, but the one thing you need to remember for it to all make sense is that they have so much money that they don’t really care what they do with it.

I think this needs a couple asterisks next to it being a bomb. The enormous production budget was essentially a way of setting up Saudi film infrastructure for future use, so this was mostly a test run for future movie productions filmed in the country. I’m also not sure if it’s entirely fair to list this among the major bombs of history, as it was only given a token release by a minor distributor here in the US before it becomes another VOD staple. I similarly take issue with the likes of Turning Red being listed as a box office disaster, as its release was essentially canceled in favor of a streaming release.

Is it actually that terrible or is this hollywood torpedoing it because they don’t like the Saudi competition?
Trailer looked decent, cast is good, director seems solid… Never heard a peep about any of it until it was being panned after release.
