Same as Solo. Solo numbers are impressive? I’d say not really.
I don’t believe anything from EmpireCity, it’s like a coin toss, I remember when they said FNAF 2 would open with $25M.
People on here were guaranteeing sub $50m opening.
One guy told me no one under 30 knows who these characters are.
Most recently i saw comments saying Backrooms and MK2 would open to more.
Mandalorian and Grogu is one of the best things Star Wars has come out with in the last 7 years. I think it was premature to say this was going to flop hard.
Imagine if this movie is a small success

I’m rooting for this movie to capture the feeling Mando season 1 did, but boy do I not expect it.
It’s interesting seeing people claim that the sub was underestimating movies like Micheal when this movie seems to be the movie that they are actually underestimating. You’d think that with the demographics of Reddit the Star Wars movie would not be the one that’s underestimated compared to the diverse skewing Micheal and the female skewing Devil Wears Prada 2, but alas, Star Wars is now the internet’s punching bag.

This year seems to be all about beating expectations, and if that 4-day can grow into a 3-day, then that’s amazing.

That seems to be compared to Solo A Star Wars Story 4 day Memorial Day weekend with $103M (after a $84.4M 3 day opening weekend) which is going to be a test on how will its legs does for The Mandalorian and Grogu depending on the reviews and WOM
It will be nice to see this succeed just to get people to shut up

And I’ll continue to say (like I have for the past few months) that this will play more like a family film and make 675 million, so let’s see if I still keep getting as many downvotes.
