Keanu, currently Key and Peele’s final live action collaboration, was released 10 years ago this week. The film also marked Jordan Peele’s debut as a film screenwriter. Unfortunately this did not result in financial success. The movie only made $20.7 million worldwide on a $15 million budget.

Peele has always been a mixed bag for me. This film felt like a long drawn out sketch that only worked half the time. It was much like their tv show in where I enjoyed the creativity, but so many sketches were just okay and barely got a grin out of me.
I think Get Out was his one great thing while everything before and after as been hit or miss. Like, good but not great.
Apparently it was in development when *John Wick* came out & Key (I think) thought someone leaked the script because they were both Keanu-adjacent action films about pets.
