The Accountant 2 was released a year ago this week. The $80 million film earned positive reviews, with some viewing it as an improvement over the original. However, it fell short at the box office, grossing $65.5 million domestically and $103 million worldwide. A sequel is currently in development.

Way better than the original imo. Going from a overly melodramatic first installment to a fun buddy cop movie with Affleck and Bernthal was a stroke of genius. Big kudos to whoever made that decision.

They have great chemistry together and that helps make the second film way more engaging.

I hope the third one actually does happen and they continue with this setup.

So much better than part one – appreciated the genre shift into buddy comedy, while still retaining the action and drama of the first. Happy to hear that PV success leads to MGM going all-in on a trilogy capper. Once again, they are the best streamer in movies. *By far.*
