Does Backroom really count as a indie horror game? It’s more of a Internet meme that turned into a game.
I thought the Exit 8 movie was a solid adaptation of the game and did things in all the right ways. The game didn’t really have any lore so they had to add just enough to make it a movie and for audiences to form their own opinions of the looping hallways & anomalies.
I’m amazed they did a good Exit 8 movie
Really want to watch the Convenience Store one that only came out in Japan
Backrooms to best of my knowledge didn’t start as a indie horror game
And can we really say indie horror is invading hollywood if you only name a few examples, one not even being correct
