Antoine Fuqua and Graham King were set to be paid $10m and $6m respectively for directing and producing Michael. Reps for Fuqua and King secured additional compensation of $15m for Fuqua and $10m for King from the Jackson estate when the entire third act had to be reshot, per Bloomberg.

When it comes to salaries in show business always remember one thing: **You get paid what you negotiate, not what you deserve.**

You may not agree with these paydays, but the agent/lawyer/rep of these celebrities managed to successfully negotiate these salaries for their clients.

    2. Is this their “part 2” salary (basically paid no matter what) or are they getting 7 figures above and beyond that.

    3. Screenings are all sold out near me. They’re gonna make a shitload. Will be interesting to see if the estate, producers, and Chandler come to an arrangement allowing the cut footage to be repurposed for a part two somehow.

      Not good. At all.

      But definitely… interesting.

If they make a film that helps the theatre business succeed, then they deserve all the money. Congrats to themĀ
