What the hell? I understand that there were reshoots and legal issue but no way any biopic should cost that much. It cost the same amount as blockbuster films ie superman, project hail Mary for instance that’s crazy.

No one lies more about budgets than Lionsgate. They said The Housekeeper cost $35m before it came out, then started reporting $65-70m when the movie became a huge hit. Same thing with the Hunger Games movies.

Using the (very flawed) 2.5x rule, it would need to make around 500 million to break even?
I feel it will definitely do that and then some, but I doubt its hitting anywhere close to 1 billion, I guess 650-700m WW
Still, it will be a success and we will continue to get these slop biopics
