The polls are closed, submissions for Summer Box Office Predictions game will no longer be taken so now it's time to reveal the average predictions.
This was very interesting to track. It's safe to say this sub is very confident about what will be the top movie of the summer but after that, answers were all over the place. It wouldn't shock me if we only get the #1 movie in the correct spot.
As a reminder of how this sub has done the previous 2 years I've done this:
In 2024, we did 7/10 in terms of correct films because people had The Garfield Movie, Furiosa, and The Fall Guy as the top films of the saummer, and not expecting Twisters, IF, and (still particularly embarrassing in hindsight) It Ends With Us. Though we only had Despicable Me 4 and Alien: Romulus in the correct spot
In 2025, we again did 7/10 in correct films; we thought Elio, the Bad Guys 2, and 28 Years Later would be big while F1, Final Destination: Bloodlines, and especially Weapons were absent. But we were a bit more accurate with 5 in the correct spots; it would've been a complete 7 if Jurassic World Rebirth and Superman had swapped places.

I think Mando might make a bit more than Supergirl, but solid predictions!
I think Disclosure Day will underperform.
I am hoping Disclosure Day surprises people. Saw so many comments predicting a max of 200-300 million worldwide which made me sad. Really hope the GOAT works his summer blockbuster magic again…
Call me crazy but I genuinely think Backrooms has a shot at the top ten domestic.
I find it funny because Dan Murrell just made his list and he has the same movies on here but in different order lol

moana and minions will make more than the Odyssey
I think this is a good list. The only thing I would do is swap Moana and Minions. I also think there is a shot Scary Movie overtakes Disclosure Day, but it could go either way.
The three family movies are going to cannibalize each other, box office-wise, I think Moana will be the most affected, simply because it looks like a terrible movie.

Supergirl is going to flop IMO. Less then 300 WW
People are way underestimating Prada based on these presales.
Also imo Grogu > Supergirl
Personally, I think we find up with 8/10 correct (I just dont have any faith in Disclosure Day and I think Mandalorian could also miss the Top 10) but I could also oddly see us going 7/10 again with Scary Movie or Supergirl underwhelming.
Odyssey is a wildcard, if it’s quite good, it could really take off, become a cultural event and get high up there worldwide…maybe close to Spiderman. Though if it’s mid or overly artistic for mainstream audiences, it could easily finish below Minions and Moana.
Now at Supergirl makes more than The Mandalorian and Grogu
I think it’s a coin flip between Moana and Spiderman.
