Why not make it an HBO show that properly adopts the book’s anthological premise? It’s also way too late to do a sequel to the Brad Pitt movie so I don’t know how else would a new film bring to the table

  2. Hella early but this will probably do significantly less especially if Brad Pitt isn’t coming back.

  3. I had completely forgotten about this cinematic narrative universe. I imagine it could be a nice surprise though.

I remember reading on deadline that it lost like 50 million. Guess Ellison really wants to leave no IP unturned.

Wasn’t the David Fincher version of this sequel originally killed because they felt they could not get it into China (due to the undead) and the financials would be iffy without a China release?

    What changed?

I honestly didn’t mind WWZ as an action/suspense movie in the zombie genre, even if it detracted from the source material and storytelling format. The article clarifies that it’s still unknown if this’ll be a sequel or total reboot.

I am admittedly still bummed that Fincher never got to make his sequel with Pitt though, he would’ve knocked it out of the park

  7. Man they’ve been rumoring this for so long. I remember when David Fincher was attached to it before he did Mank at Netflix.

One of my favorite zombie movies, it’s very rewatchable. Looking forward to this.

  9. Please make it closer to the book and do it a TV show/mini series

  10. I can never see this movie the same way again after the Pointless Hub video

I’m still convinced Ellison only got this rolling because he saw F1’s box office and he looked up the highest grossing Brad Pitt movie Paramount had

  11. Paramount is cooking with these announcements
