>James Gunn has found the final piece of his Man of Tomorrow casting puzzle.
>After several rounds of screen tests, Adria Arjona has been chosen for the mystery role in DC Studios’ sequel to Superman. It was previously reported that the character was comic anti-heroine Maxima, but it’s unknown if that is correct.
>DC Studios had no comment.
Could it actually be?

Thought she wasn’t in the movie? Did James Gunn lie?

>This is not against Nexus – they’re sharing what Deadline reported – but Deadline’s reporting is shoddy & incorrect. I’ve always thought Deadline was pretty thorough in their journalism but that’s not the case here so I’m frankly disappointed. If someone would have run these names by us we would have said it’s bullshit. I’ve been friends with Adria a long time since I cast her in the Belko Experiment. I’m a fan of both Marisa and Ella but I’ve never met either of them. Crazy.
Not even a week ago from Gun himself lmao.
And its not the first time he denied something only for it to happen right after either. Guy really needs to be less chronicaly online

Well damn. I wanted her to be Wonder Woman but I also would rather have Maxima in this movie than Wonder Woman

Of course. James hires his friends.
I am pretty sure this is Wonder Woman and not maxima.

Adria as Wonder Woman would be great casting even though my preferred choice would be Monica Barbaro

Wonder Woman. And tech James didn’t lie, she didn’t audition for Maxima.

Yeah she’s playing Wonder Woman. Maxima was a cover. They are introducing her in Man Of Tomorrow because a solo Wonder Woman movie will probably be the next DCU movie to release after.
