We get it, David. You had a shit Christmas growing up. Not our problem.
/s. Rodriguez’s films are always a blast, and it’s great to see him both returning to family films ***and*** going all-in animation. Good project for ParaSky. I just hope that he’ll still be able to make another *Alita* for Big Jim and Disney.

Since this is the first film picked up by Paramount Animation since they appointed Jennifer Dodge, hopefully she isn’t let go in 4 years like what happened to the studio’s last two presidents. If that happened, this would be either stuck in development hell or dumped on streaming.
The concept has potential though, and I like how Paramount is letting an animated film be directed by a live-action director for the first time since 2011’s Rango and Tintin, which were both awesome and refreshing.
