I can’t help but feel Marvel is overestimating the appeal of X-Men much like they did with Fantastic Four. Other than Days of Future Past, all the X-Men movies grossed only $250M-$500M WW.
Sure, they are big in the comics but that means little. Every Guardians of the Galaxy movie grossed more.

What are the places that [have] been in the comics? What hasn’t been explored as much, and how can that be incorporated? And what are some of the different avenues that we could take that feel like the kind of less-trodden path that we could go down? But those ideas are always out there, as we have the discussions.”

I’d feel swindled if they don’t do 10 of them
I’m very optimistic with the authors involved.
