I’ll be honest. I have never heard of this movie. Originally reading the title I thought it was a typo or a different title from another country for Snow White and the Huntsman.

i unironically love this movie and have it on in the background constantly. Jessica Chastain with a ridiculous accent, Emily Blunt and Charlize Theron just screaming every line in the most ridiculous way, and for some reason Nick Frost is in it too.

I was going to make a joke about how no one wanted this (even with a stacked cast! Chastain was at her peak then) but I just checked and shit, the first one made nearly $400M!

Imagine getting Jessica Chastain, Emily Blunt, and Charlize Theron all for a stupid Huntsman movie
Somehow still not as wasteful as the cast of the first Huntsman movie though.

I remember Chastain had to do this to do Crimson Peak or something. Worth the trade-off.

The film may have turned out to be a complete stinker, but if nothing else, it apparently looked great in terms of production values and visual effects, especially considering its $115 million budget. Sure, it’s still not quite as fair to compare that to budgets of films like **Jupiter Ascending** ($176 million), **Avengers: Age of Ultron** ($250 million), **Jurassic World** ($150 million), **Ant-Man** ($130 million), **The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2** ($160 million), **The Jungle Book** ($175 million), **Star Trek Beyond** ($185 million), **Doctor Strange** ($165 million), **Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them** ($180 million), **Rogue One: A Star Wars Story** ($200 million), **The Great Wall** ($150 million), **Kong: Skull Island** ($185 million), **Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2** ($200 million), **Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets** ($177.2 million), or **Thor: Ragnarok** ($180 million) since all of these films also had tons of CGI (if not more so), but $115 million budget for a film like this is nothing to sneeze at.
