I’m seeing people on the Box Office Forums saying 35 million+…………
There’s a scene in the film that involves someone being offered a copious amount of gold coins that I feel may be applicable to how this film will do.

This is what Deadline said during Mario 1’s first Wednesday…
**”Out of the gate Wednesday, sans Tuesday previews, the feature adaptation of the classic game is looking at $26 million, for what’s translating into a $86.2M three-day total and $127.5M Wednesday-through-Sunday haul.”**
Its 5-day ended up at $204.6M
$34M is higher than the first movie’s opening day, they must be expecting it to be more frontloaded this time
Seems too low for its opening day which is ahead of its predecessor of $31.7M while its 5 day weekend can open ahead of it’s predecessor with $210M range
Hope to see the whole crew in full form in a future movie.
Low ball but I think max it’s gonna go for the 5-day is $190 so not completely off
But but…critics said it was worse than AI slop. Surely they can’t be exaggerating?
