WB dropping this so soon after a film that literally had the near-identical concept basically doomed it from the start.

Warner Bros. Just sent this out to get killed.

I thought this movie never looked that impressive, love Zazie Beetz but it looked like just another “One vs many” movie that we got way too many of these last few years

This didn’t show audiences why this was any different than the thousands of John Wick knockoffs kicking around Peacock.

Damn that is sad. Good thing nobody expected shit from this.

Estimated production budget of $20 million, by the way. Breakeven point of $50 million.

This movie’s budget was the same as Ready or Not 1 and 2 combined. Movies like this can make money, they’ve just got to be smarter with budgets and marketing.

Only a $20M budget. Is it really dead in the water ?

Terrible release date for this movie. WB really dropped the ball.

Could this be a symptom of too much advertising at the wrong time? Every time I would jump on Reddit or YouTube I would see the same 15 second trailers almost to the point of saturation. I’m not going to see it because I’m tired of seeing the ads quite frankly.

How anyone could possibly think it would be a good idea to put TWO movies about “Societal Elites hunt and try to murder young women” out in TWO weeks is beyond me.

Zazie is my celebrity crush, but I have to admit she’s not a box office draw

My wife and I hadn’t seen any previews for this movie until it played before ready or not 2….I cannot believe an executive thought it was a good idea to allow this release schedule. We legitimately thought it was a satirical trailer that was placed as a companion to the movie (it might still be decent I don’t know, but it was an abject failure in decision making/marketing).

Good thing WB sat through the winter doing absolutely nothing to drop this and Bride in quick succession.
This movie might not be good (might see it this week?) but I would have rather seen it against Mercy or the Valentine’s Day movies.

Nah, I’m good.
Think I’ll see Project Hail Mary for the 4th time instead.

I felt like the trailer showed the entire movie already

I think it was a good movie, but the audiences it probably looks like just another John wick-esqe action flick. I mean heck, if zazie wasn’t in it I wouldn’t even have looked at it myself.

Andy Muschietti was producer of this. The guy is not making a DC film, folks.

The trailers made this seem fun. But also basically showed everything that seemed interesting. I may watch it, but id be surprised if theres much more interesting action beyond what was shown already

Doesn’t change the fact I thoroughly enjoyed the movie. Still wondering where other sites who reported this to only be a 7 million budget got their information. Because 7 million sure feels like the more correct number than 20 million.

This movie looked fun, but definetly nothing I was going to go see in theaters.

Doesn’t help that my local cinemas are barely showing it so I couldn’t go watch even though I want to

This film was, in my opinion, fun, but it was such an obvious Tarantino rip-off (particularly Kill Bill), and that is saying a lot, since we all know that Tarantino is himself a director who loves appropriating styles, scenes, themes and aesthetics under the aegis of “pastiche/homage/nod.” And nowhere do we see this more strongly than in Kill Bill. They Will Kill You was simply an unfortunate case of rip-off-ripping-off-a-rip-off-without the visual verve and/or narrative-gusto that Kill Bill had.

Wish these studios stopped trying to make mid budget films. They always flop

I don’t see why anyone would be surprised, there’s currently like 10 other horror movies in theaters at this very moment. this one needed to do something to stand out and it did not
