This will shock no one given the film's overperformance in China, but Zootopia 2 has the distinction of being the Disney Animation film with the highest percentage of its global revenue coming from non-North American receipts. 77% of its revenue came from abroad.
So I thought it'd be fun to dig into the stats across the company's history. I did the best I could here, and it seems some films simply never had a foreign release. Apologies for any inaccuracies up front. Most data came from Box Office Mojo.
Note these are percentages of total gross – not hard numbers – which is why something like The Aristocats has 69% of its box office take coming from outside North America, but that number is (a still impressive) $131M.
It's only natural that foreign markets would take an increasingly larger share as new markets open up, but it's still fun to see what performs best where and figure out why.

Overseas: $135.3M
Worldwide: $191M
I still think it’s crazy how hard Wish bombed in the US(and other countries), but here in Germany it was the 7th most attended movie of the year. 2M is not an insane number, but it’s basically on par with Moana 1.
Is zootopia officially out of all theaters world wide? When will the final gross come out?
