    1. Under Solo again, which dropped 65% for its second weekend. A <$30 million weekend for Mandalorian and Grogu is possible.

    2. I’m curious howmany tickets it’s sold vs solo, inflation can’t be ignored forever

Dude insane. Like 1.6k theaters off and Obsession is 1M below. On it’s second Tuesday!

    4. Im expecting a 65%-67% 2nd weekend drop, somewhere between $26.75m- $28.50m.

    5. most forgettable Star Wars movie ever , i usually feel anger or joy watching a Star Wars movie, its worse to feel nothing

I know this is against everyone here who just is hyper numbers focus but I think the quality is the reason why the numbers are so low.

Consumers are picky about what they’ll spend their little bit of money they have on in the theater.

I think the days of 2010s era big IP meh movie with a big marketing budget automatically doing great is over mostly. But yes there’s a few that do extremely well like Mario Galaxy movie but that franchise wasn’t as quality focused, and deeply damaged like Star Wars is rn.

I think you have to make a good movie, market it decently, and release it at a decent time for the film to do well. Yes you can coast on hype sometimes if your franchise is going well but if it’s damaged like this or the MCU, making something meh and then just marketing it hard won’t magically make you 700 million.

Now that’s a hot take but I just feel like that’s why this is happening, maybe it’s time to take these IPs and make GOOD MOVIES based off them and they’ll do well.
