Biggest wildcard of the summer imo — if it’s good it’s gonna explode but if it fails to deliver it’s gonna get swept away so fast. It looks fantastic and I trust Spielberg to deliver tho!
From the trailer alone? I hope this becomes a massive success

You can tell they lost their balls and started putting more out in the campaign than original intended. >!The connection between Blunt and O’Connor’s characters, what happened to them as children, the transition from the deer to the alien.!< These elements were played for mystery in previous marketing materials and now they’re just giving them away.

Has a director ever inserted themselves into a full trailer like this before? Such an odd choice.

They are clearly pivoting from their initial marketing approach after Spielberg mentioned at CinemaCon that nothing was shown from the film’s third act.
Had seen comments that the film’s trailers lacked a clear hook to entice the audience, they are now fully leaning on the aliens appearing in the movie.
And now an almost three minute final trailer which also doubles as a featurette with Spielberg also being fully on board with the narrative.
Fully disclosing what the film’s clear selling point is:
Spielberg + 👽 nostalgia in a summer blockbuster

Better not to watch any promo material and go watch the movie.

That Kaminski lighting …. (complimentary)
Definitely will become Josh o Connors highest grossing movie
Colman Domingos second highest grossing 2026 movie (will the worldwide total surpass Michael’s domestic numbers?)

God, this looks cool.
Please be cool.Â
I want Mean Spielberg back again.
And I want him making mad amounts of cash.
Comparing this trailer to the [Close Encounters 40th anniversary](https://youtu.be/dSpQ3G08k48?si=cfo6DHTfd2yWE-Wt) trailer reaffirms to me that Disclosure Day lacks the Spielberg magic.
Well, so much for keeping all the third act revelations out of the trailers.
No idea what to expectÂ
