The obvious conclusion, but stating it is as vital as ever when the feds want it so badly.
Call your Congressman, state AG, and governor. Tell them to pressure DOJ into blocking, and to sue themselves if Blanche won’t. No studio deserves this fate… least of all, one as iconic as Warner Bros. And we have to fight this *now.*
The eco-system was 100 million people paying upwards of $100 a month to the cable companies who from that paid per channel, per subscriber, per month affiliate fees to the media companies.
Everything else was couch cushion change.
Netflix was allowed to kill that business model because the media companies were short sighted and arrogant.
Disney is spending billions on the parks, resorts and cruises with what it can still get from the collapsing cable eco-system while it still exists because the future of the film/TV industry is to be much smaller and far less profitable.
It’s why Murdoch sold 21st Century to Disney, why the Redstones and WBD shareholders have/are selling to the Ellisons. Get out now before it all becomes the next blockbuster video.
