    1. This will be a movie I will see once just for Star Wars. But man the trailer didn’t look great

2.1 million lower than Solo: A Star Wars Story’s 14.1 million previews from 2018. Its internal multiplier (7.3x) gets this to 87.6 million 4-day.

I’m betting this gets around a $90m 4-Day, under Solo.

Not a complete franchise shelving disaster but not exactly something to sing and dance to either.

      And it’s looking worse internationally.

This would have been big when Mando was at its height after S2. Now interest waned because of Season 3.

    5. Are we allowed to admit Star Wars as a theatrical franchise is in trouble or are we still just going to blame everything on “fat neckbeard chuds”?

It’s break even has to be at least 400m right? Even if it’s domestic heavy.

Imho it’s looking pretty grim, even if this 12m previews is slightly above the disasterous 11m I was expecting

I don’t understand the corporate strategy behind this franchise.

I liked it, I think casual fans will enjoy it but the hardcore fans will hate it.

I hate his movies, but Shawn Levy might be Star Wars best bet at getting back on track lmao.

    11. Only thing that’s going to save this movie is its modest budget. Might turn a little profit but nothing worth bragging about.

I know it’s Star Wars, but by all accounts, it’s three episodes of a TV show strung together. Did Lucasfilm/Disney really think this was gonna set the world ablaze 7 years post-ROTS and relegating the franchise to streaming? They’ve devalued the brand in the eyes of the movie-goers.
