I’m guessing it boils down to “the first made a ton of money so there will definitely be another as soon as we’re able to get it out”
gonna be wicked 2 all over again — weird, dour movie that takes a dark turn and only has one or two of the songs that people like. it will open big and fall off a cliff when audiences remember how bleak the second half of this story is
Lionagate reportedly wanted *Michael* to gross atleast $700m to guarantee a sequel. The film is tracking to be the first biopic to gross over $1B.
