At this rate, $600 million is in the bag. The real question is does this movie get to $700 million and if so how much higher does it go from there?
It would be wild if this movie ended up as Disney’s big live action summer blockbuster and not Mando and Grogu, but that’s looking like a very real possibility.
Either way, I hope this movie, along with Send Help or Predator/Alien, solidifies for Burbank that 20th Century Studios/Touchstone model has a lot to offer. A double and single in addition to the home runs and grand slams is a winning strategy.
