I know this is decent for movies that have already done their man BO run, but part of me expected more given how massive TG Maverick was
Why are they reporting the combined gross instead of the individual for each movie?
Paramount will extend the re-release by one more week. They also have Passenger releasing this weekend. Maybe Passenger isn’t expected to make big numbers, so both Top Gun & Top Gun: Maverick are sticking around a little longer.
I saw a double feature on Sunday and TGM was fairly quiet (tbf it was at noon in Dolby) while TG filled up 70% of an IMAX theater. Maybe a TGM re-release isn’t all that interesting since it’s so recent while a TG re-release brings back 80s nostalgia. Regardless yesterday was probably mostly boomers and unemployed people.
