Oh boy, here we go. I’ve actually seen the film, so for all two of you that care, [here’s the long Letterboxd version](https://boxd.it/epUdnV) of what I thought of it.

The upshot: it is (despite the marketing’s best attempts to disguise it) literally just a retooled streaming product parading on the big screen. It offers nothing of substance or any world-building beyond the core gimmick of ‘another Mando and Grogu adventure, except 2 hours long this time.’ For some fans, that might be all they need; but for the grand return of the Star Wars brand to the big screen, paying exorbitant ticket prices for middle-of-the-road Disney+ content isn’t good enough.

Ostensibly this is “made for children,” but I have a hard time believing it as it plods on like an arthritic snail and is dull, dull, dull. In other words, it is modern attention span repellent. It’s also very late, Grogu’s star faded many years ago.

TL;DR I expect this to review mediocrely. 60s/70s RT, nowhere near enough to move the needle for people who were on the fence. I saw one critic on Twitter simply say “my apologies to the Acolyte,” lol.

Would be bad if it got a rotten score atp being fresh would be a win for this

    3. The Marvels type “it’s fun and breezy!” Reviews won’t be enough to move the needle I think.

I don’t think bad or good reviews are going to change this movie’s numbers that much, it’s made for fans.

    5. At 11 reviews it’s currently at 55%. Still super early out so it can increase but definitely it’s not going to be overly positive.
