The volleyball scene, the soundtrack, the jets, it’s all pure 80s excess in the best possible way.
I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again – the sequel massively puts this to shame.
Amazing that there are two Top Gun movies and both were cultural phenomenons. Can they go 3 for 3?
I’m astounded the original budget was $15m. Really?
The film which catapulted him into superstardom, which he maintains to this day.
Aren’t they making a third how long they let this guy stay in the Air Force for ?
Unpopular opinion but I rewatched it recently as an adult and was surprised by how…unlikeable the lead is in this.
The love story is him bothering a girl who’s not into him until she says yes. He becomes a pilot then after 5 minutes goes back to the academy to be an instructor.
