I wonder if anyone noticed that penny on the poster prior to watching the movie

These movies were always fun, but nobody expected the sixth entry to become the critical darling of the franchise.

The opening sequence is great and the kills are fun and inventive.

    3. Insane run ,movie itself was whatever but give exactly what people wanted to see. Fun wacky kills and a good time.

This was a pleasant surprise as it somehow managed to get so much acclaim.

Also, I wonder where the sequel will go considering what has been revealed in this film and how that connects films of this franchise.

    5. They understood what people want for this series.
Only problem is the lead actress was dull. Brec Bassinger and Richard Harmon were the standouts.

    6. Good movie, think the last entry being 14 years ago really helped it break out. The franchise was already kinda popular but this was a lot of Gen Z’s first time getting to see a FD movie in the theatre not just at home

I really enjoyed this one, but I wonder why THIS was the one that finally got the major positive reviews. Did it really do that much different from the other ones?

And to be clear, I really like 1, 2 and 5 as well.

This benefitted from a long nap for the franchise. I know WB is fast tracking another entry, but I suspect that won’t do as well even if I laughed like a madman with this one.
