Billy is happening.
Crazy how we might break 5 billion dollar films this year.

It’ll be close, but I’m sure it’ll pass 1B+, unless the digital release totally kills it, which I doubt.
All 1B+ films this year:
1. The Super Mario Galaxy Movie
2. Michael
3. Toy Story 5
4. Moana
5. Spider-Man Brand New Day
6. Avengers Doomsday
And yes, I know…, you don’t think Moana will get there, but I strongly believe that it will, just like I knew Michael could get there.

The battle of mid:
Well the first Mario wasn’t that bad, but the other 2….

It’s in a better position than Minecraft, to possibly get 1 billion worldwide. It’s not 100% possible, but chances are very high.
Anyway, it doesn’t need 1 billion to be profitable. It’s already profitable.
The issues are mostly regarding writing / pacing / plot and Illumination better figure it out, before the next one performs like Ice Age 5.
I felt this sequel was just another sequel, more of the same. That feeling has to change for a third movie.

The Minecraft Movie was aggressively shitty I’m still angry it made so much money

It was enjoyable enough I suppose, but the next film needs to be better. I do hope and believe it’ll reach 1 billion.

Just curious, how does this compare to the Hobbit and Jurassic World Dominion?

Billion pretty much locked in now barring some catastrophic drop due to Mando next weekend.

The movie should slide into 1.03 billion. Most likely, and make 1 billion with its skin of its teeth but I still have some expectations for. 1.08 billion? In The end .
